For acoustic engineers and infrastructure developers requiring a transparent noise solution, Jinan Jinbao Plastic Co., Ltd. offers our premium Lucite® Grade Cast Acrylic Sound Barrier Sheet.
Unlike standard extruded acrylic, JINBAO uses 100% Virgin Lucite Monomer in a cell-casting process. This produces a sheet with higher molecular weight and density (1.2 g/cm³), providing superior sound transmission loss (STL) and weatherability. It combines the mass needed to block noise with the flexibility to be cold-curved or thermoformed into architectural shapes for highways, bridges, and industrial enclosures.
High Acoustic Performance: A 20mm sheet achieves a weighted sound reduction index (Rw) of 35-37 dB, effectively blocking traffic and industrial noise. Thinner gauges (6-8mm) reduce noise by ~30-32 dB.
Unmatched Clarity: With 93% light transmission, it offers better visibility than glass, maintaining open views for drivers and residents while blocking sound.
Flexible & Formable: Cast acrylic has excellent thermal memory, allowing it to be thermoformed into curved barriers or cold-bent (radius > 300x thickness) for tunnel entrances.
Lucite Durability: Manufactured with Lucite resin for exceptional UV stability. Guaranteed not to yellow or haze for 30 years outdoors.
Bird Protection: Available with embedded polyamide threads or black stripes to prevent bird collisions without sacrificing transparency.
Safety Impact: Meets EN 1794-1 / EN 1794-2 standards for impact resistance; will not shatter into dangerous shards if hit by debris.

Highway & Railway Walls: Transparent top panels on noise walls to prevent the "tunnel effect" and allow sunlight to reach nearby homes.
Urban Bridges: Lightweight barriers (50% lighter than glass) that reduce structural load on bridges while blocking wind and noise.
Industrial Enclosures: Flexible, clear guards around noisy generators or manufacturing cells to protect worker hearing.
Commercial Glazing: Curved acoustic windows for recording studios and concert halls.
Project-Ready Fabrication: We can CNC cut, drill mounting holes, and thermoform sheets to your exact CAD drawings before shipping, reducing your on-site labor.
Certified Testing: Our sound barrier sheets are tested in third-party acoustic labs. We provide full test reports for STC (Sound Transmission Class) and Rw ratings to support your engineering submittals.
Secure Logistics: Sheets are packed with PE film and stacked on heavy-duty iron or fumigated wooden pallets, ensuring they arrive flat and scratch-free for immediate installation.
Q: Why use "Lucite" acrylic specifically?
A: Lucite is a premium brand of MMA monomer known for the highest optical clarity and UV longevity. Using Lucite ensures your sound barrier won't turn yellow or cloudy after 5 years in the sun.
Q: Is it flexible?
A: "Flexible" in this context means it can be thermoformed (heat bent) into complex curves or cold-bent into gentle arches. It is not soft like rubber. It is a rigid sheet that offers design flexibility.
Q: How does it compare to Polycarbonate for sound?
A: Cast Acrylic generally has slightly better acoustic damping than Polycarbonate. It is also more UV stable and scratches less easily. Polycarbonate is chosen only if extreme impact resistance (e.g., stopping rocks) is the #1 priority.
Q: Can you add anti-bird stripes?
A: Yes. We manufacture "Bird Guard" sheets with black lines printed or embedded inside to prevent birds from flying into the clear barrier.
