3. Electrical:

PVC foam board is a polymer product with good electrical properties, but its electrical insulation is not as good as PP and PE due to its high polarity. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent and volume resistivity are relatively large, and the corona resistance is not good. Generally suitable for medium and low voltage and low frequency insulation materials.

4. Mechanical properties:

PVC foam board has high hardness and mechanical properties. and increases with increasing molecular weight, but decreases with increasing temperature. Rigid PVC has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPA (mercaptopropionic acid). The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15MPA. But the elongation at break is as high as 200%-450%. The friction force of PVC is general, the coefficient of static friction is 0.4-0.5, and the coefficient of dynamic friction is 0.23.

5. Thermal performance:

The thermal stability of PVC foam board is very poor, it begins to decompose at 140°C, and the melting temperature is 160°C. The linear expansion coefficient of PVC is small, flame retardant, and the oxidation index is as high as 45 or more.
