The Problem We Solved

Across multiple markets — from Latin America to Southeast Asia — our customers who use CO₂ laser cutters to process acrylic sheets reported the same frustration: after laser cutting, the heat generated by the laser partially fused the protective film adhesive to the acrylic surface, making the film extremely difficult to peel cleanly. Fabricators were spending significant time and effort removing film residue from cut edges — and in some cases, the adhesive residue was contaminating the acrylic surface and affecting subsequent bonding or printing operations.

What We Changed

We worked with our protective film supplier to reformulate the film adhesive specifically for laser-cut acrylic applications:

The result is a protective film that does its job perfectly during cutting, handling, and transit — and then releases cleanly and easily when the fabricator is ready to install or finish the sheet.
