JINBAO 2mm-5mm Clear and Smoke Acrylic Sheets are engineered for lightweight canopies and vehicle interiors. "Clear" grade offers 93% light transmission (superior to glass), while "Smoke" tints reduce glare and solar heat gain. Weather-resistant and easy to thermoform for curved skylights.
Clear and Smoke Acrylic Sheets
JINBAO
For automotive aftermarket suppliers and residential canopy builders, Jinan Jinbao Plastic Co., Ltd. provides Clear and Smoke Tinted Acrylic Sheets.
While polycarbonate is used for heavy impact, Acrylic (PMMA) is the preferred choice for applications requiring rigid optical clarity and scratch resistance at a cost-effective price point. Our "Smoke" tints are widely used in car ceilings (headliners) and sun visors to block glare while maintaining visibility, while our "Clear" sheets serve as lightweight glazing for patio covers and instrument clusters.
Optical Brilliance: Clear sheets achieve 93% light transmission, making them clearer than standard glass and polycarbonate.
Glare Reduction (Smoke Tint): Available in various smoke/grey tint percentages (e.g., 20%, 50%) to filter sunlight and reduce interior cabin heat.
Weather Resistant: Naturally UV stable; will not yellow or become brittle for 8-10 years, unlike untreated plastics.
Lightweight Strength: 50% lighter than glass but 17x more impact resistant, reducing structural load on canopy frames and vehicle roofs.
Easy Fabrication: Can be laser cut, polished, and thermoformed into curved shapes for sunroofs or dome lights.

Customer Visit

Q1: Is "Smoke" acrylic see-through?
A: Yes. It is transparent tinted. You can see through it, but it acts like sunglasses, reducing brightness and heat. Opaque colors (like black) block light completely.
Q2: Can I bend this sheet for a curved canopy?
A: Acrylic can be heat bent (thermoformed) easily. For cold bending (curving on-site without heat), we recommend Polycarbonate, as acrylic may crack if forced into a tight radius cold.
Q3: Does the smoke color fade?
A: No. JINBAO uses UV-stable pigments mixed directly into the virgin resin. The color is integral to the sheet and will not fade for 8-10 years outdoors.
Q4: Is it safer than glass?
A: Yes. If broken, acrylic fractures into large, dull-edged pieces rather than dangerous shards, making it safer for overhead canopies.
