Cast acrylic sheet is PMMA, made by a range of processes resin into a mold of two pieces of glass. And it is secured by screws to its specific thickness. The MMA pellets pass through a heated zone and reach the melting point, and when through rollers press evenly to the specific thickness that you desired. And was cut into pieces of extruded acrylic sheets.
Extruded acrylic sheet is ideal for laser engraving too, it leaves a flamed-polished edge after the lasering process.
However, if your project requires a better strength of the acrylic sheets. It is suggested to choose cast acrylic sheet as it is stronger as compared to extruded ones.
