This method can produce profiles with complex cross-sectional shapes, and the products have the characteristics of smooth surface, high hardness, and low density in the core area. In addition, by combining this method with free foaming, a pvc foam board with skinning on one side and a free state on the other side can be obtained.
Free foaming is the unrestricted free expansion of the melt as soon as it leaves the die, and after a short period of time, enters a larger size setting device.
Free foaming causes all cells to be formed on the cross section of the extrudate, and the growth of surface cells is restricted to a certain extent by cooling to form a plate product with continuous density, moderate surface hardness and smoothness.
The advantage of this method is that the process is simple, and it is suitable for the production of sheets with a thickness of 2 to 6 mm, a simple geometric shape and a matte surface.
The crusted pvc foam board has a layer of hard skin on the surface, which is smooth and flat; the free pvc foam board has no skin on the surface and has a fine concave and convex shape (pocket surface).
